Krishna Mani
In his 43-year career, Mani has worked as a VP or President for major
Indian Auto component groups such as Victor Gaskets, Bharat Gears, Gabriel
Engine bearings, and Perfect Circle Piston rings. His last assignment
was as President of Sundram Fasteners, a sole source supplier to GM in
the USA and winner of GM - USA supplier of the year award five times in
a row.
Mani has wide experience in the key elements
of manufacturing outsourcing:
- Licensing of New technology:
Managed technical collaborations with respective global leaders in component
technology: Federal Mogul (Engine Bearings) and Dana corporation (Piston
Rings)
- Joint ventures: Managed
Perfect Circle India, a JV between Dana Corporation of the US (a Top
5 Auto components group) and Indian partners the Anand Group.
- Greenfield Sites: Built
and subsequently managed Greenfield facilities for Gabriel India (Engine
Bearings), Perfect Circle (Piston Rings) and KAR Valves (engine Valves)
- Export contracts: Won and successfully managed
long-term contracts from GM, Delphi, Cummins, ZF and MTU.
Ram Mohan
Ram is a leading Lean Manufacturing consultant in India having spent
ten years advising a range of Indian engineering companies on improving
manufacturing performance.
Ram was trained in Toyota Japan, the birthplace of
the 'Lean' movement and subsequently worked in a Toyota JV in India, manufacturing
Buses and Trucks. Here he had a number of roles including: Chief of Design
and Quality and Project Head for TQM implementation; Team leader responsible
for setting up CKD assembly unit in Bangladesh; Plant Production Control
and Administration based on the Toyota Production System and Establishment
of a number of manufacturing lines based on JIT production.
Ram is employed by the Confederation of Indian
Industry to provide consultancy and training on "Developing manufacturing
Excellence through TQM and lean management" which he has delivered
to more than 19 leading Auto component companies.
